As a special bonus, here is the very small cover for my fanfic that I made tonight, without much wailing or teeth-gnashing, even!

Yes, it is very small. Wattpad likes small covers. But it's a cool font, right? I like that font.

ETA: I've since taken the fic down from Wattpad. Ultimately the site seemed like far too much effort for too little return. At least for me.

I just checked out Wattpad on your say-so, and yays that it is a Canadian thing...but I really didn't "get" the format. First it wouldn't let me edit my profile, and then when I went to your fic I couldn't figure out how to do comments. Also, although I suppose I shouldn't fault it for being so "pretty," as with tumblr I found it to be distractingly image-heavy for my very text-based self.

::nods:: I understand that completely. I really dislike their tags system, and the fact that it's so hard to search for anything that's not in the title. I know why the site does it--it encourages authors to network to get readers. Wattpad makes money by pimping out their most popular authors to companies to write for them, and if the authors already are great at networking then Wattpad's job becomes enormously easier. But it's a pain to use. It also has very little slash compared to AO3--at least from what I could find.

I've since taken my fic down from the site, because in the end it just seemed more trouble than it was worth. I truly appreciate you wanting to leave a comment, though! Thank you. :D <3

Ah, I didn't even realize the commercial aspect of the site until you told me. Well, it was an interesting thing to see -- once -- but for reasons (like the ones you said) I'll continue reading fic and posting fic in the places that already suit me.
