Harper Voyager to Accept Unagented Manuscripts for Two Weeks

I don't think I can take advantage of this--I have an agent, and he couldn't sell the one manuscript I had finished. Not to mention that it's the same novel I realized kind of sucks.

So unfortunately, no. Probably not for me. But I'm happy to pass on the opportunity. :D

No worries about the delete/repost! And you didn't sound scolding, either. I just felt goofy for not having actually read the details before going all, 'yay!' about it on my LJ.

I still have a feeling that you've got the right of it--that HC is going for people they can exploit for little to no money to establish their own ebook line. But yes, it might be a good way in.

OTOH, if they're not offering advances or much in the way of royalties, you might as well self-publish. At least you get a larger percentage. :)
