The Continente stores were huge, but I don't remember thinking that they were bigger than the ones over here, so that might just be the new standard. Makes it easier to navigate with the shopping carts, anyway.
We had a hanging rack attached to the kitchen ceiling and the folding one on the floor, luckily. I would have felt very nervous leaning out that window!
