More fun with Jack Bauer

Peripherally watching 24 again, and bioweapon-infected Jack just finished telling Renee the future love interest how it's okay to mourn for her dead partner. Which is kind of incongruous considering he's Mr. badass take-no-prisoners-suck-it-up himself. And after listening I turn to Dom and ask, 'Isn't he still dying?'

And I think, Wow, prime-time television is weird.

Um...yes? Prime-time television can definitely be described as weird. :/

Still, I'm sad to say that, while I'd normally be fully immersed in the goings on of 24, I haven't seen any of this season. Actually, I can't remember the last time I was even able to watch any television. Huh.

Life can be pretty weird, too.

*hugs*

Thank you. :D Hugs!

24 is so silly that I don't think you're missing much. And truthfully, there's a lot to be said for not watching TV.... :)

sigh. when 24 first aired, I was on a business trip and didn't get a chance to watch. & then I understood that it was a sequential thing, so I continued not watching.

So, I've heard it's pretty good, eh? (despite the weird)

Well, it's kind of Republican, in that there's lots of justification for some truly brutal torture. It's also silly, in that people can get across the entire width and breadth of cities like LA in less than five minutes. Not to mention Jack being so awesome that he can come back to the US after being tortured in a Chinese prison for two years and be good to go after a hot meal and a bath.

I find it mostly violent and annoying, though the fact that Jack has heroically contracted a deadly virus has been doing it for my fanfic vibe. Fictional plagues FTW!
