I'm not a huge cop-show fan either, so I do think that a show with that as part of its genre needs to be more than the sum of its parts to keep me interested. Castle has done that (mostly) by virtue of the characters' interactions and some of the quirky stories (though I would have stopped watching by now if my husband didn't keep DVRing it), and AH had all the ingredients to be something that not just interested me but kept me enthralled the way SGA did. But so far it's falling flat for me too. It's just too much of a cop show.
