After Today, Consider Me Gone

I am off to Portugal with the fam. I am looking forward to it with my usual mixture of glee and dread. Mostly dread at this stage, possibly because I haven't finished packing yet.

But, hell, it is Portugal, and I've had wonderful times every time I've been to Europe before. I've just never been so far from home with the kid, which is what's freaking me out.

::Sighs:: I wish I weren't worried. I'll probably feel fine once we're on the airplane. I hope.

Anyway, see you later, everyone! I'll be back in early July, though we'll apparently have internet access so I might be online every so often or more....

Hope this isn't too late, but I hope you have a lovely holiday! I know what you mean about travelling with a child being stressy, and I hope everything goes really smoothly for you all.

Don't forget, there is very little that you can leave behind by accident that can't be bought on arrival at your destination. (I would do well to remember this myself, the next time I'm packing to go away. :P )

Thank you very much! Your very nice comment didn't come too late, and was very much appreciated. Both the going and return trips started out pretty well but ended up just as horrible as I'd anticipated (as in, wonderful baby boy becomes horrid, screaming monster by the end of it), but most of the trip was a lot of fun. And amazingly enough, I remembered every important thing both going there and coming back! Including all of Jav's toys. Whew!

It was a really good time, yeah, thank you. :) But it was difficult for Javier to be out of his routine, and therefore sometimes very difficult for me. I'd certainly do it again, though perhaps for less long.
